HPLC Columns and Cartridges

Higgins Analytical HPLC column product par t numbers are based on a 2-4-4 char-acter pattern. For example:

TS-1521-C185

is the par t number for a conventional 15cm x 2.1mm stainless steel column packed with Targa C18 5µm sorbent.

The two character prefix indicates

sorbent and hardware type.

Prefix Character 1 (Sorbent)

X-XXXX-XXXX C = CLIPEUS

H = HAISIL 100 or HAISIL 300 L = HAISIL HL P = PHALANX R = PROTO 200 or 300 T = TARGA V = HEAVY

Prefix Character 2 (Hardware) X -XXXX-XXXX C = Capellini capillary column S = Stainless steel HPLC Column P = PEEK HPLC column

F = Stainless steel car tridge column K = PEEK car tridge column R = Sprite Direct-Connect column

Note: Microbore columns have the sec-ond character, S, like stainless steel columns, but they are glass lined.

The four center characters indicate the column or car tridge length (cm) and internal diameter (mm) .

Center Characters 1 and 2 (Length)

XX- XX-XXX 03 = 3cm 04 = 4cm 05 = 5cm 07 = 7.5cm 10 = 10cm 12 = 12.5cm 15 = 15cm 20 = 20cm 22 = 22cm 25 = 25cm 30 = 30cm 50 = 50cm

Guards

Two types of holders for 2cm long PEEK and s.s. car tridges are offered.

HK-GUARD-FF Female/Female HK-GUARD-FM Direct Connect

Analytical Cartridge Holders

Three internal diameters (2.1, 3.2, and 4.6mm) and three lengths are offered.

HK-HOLD-40 for 4cm long car tridge HK-HOLD-50 for 5cm long car tridge HK-HOLD-100 for 10cm long catridge

HAISpeed 10 Cartridge Holders

These 10mm i.d. car tridges are offered in three lengths.

HAISpeed 20 Cartridge Holder

20mm i.d. prep guard car tridges require a 25mm long car tridge holder.
